STUDIO INIIT AB is responsible for the processing of personal data that you provide to us as a customer. Your personal data is processed by us or by our service providers when you visit our website, when you order services or goods from us, contact us, or subscribe to our newsletter. The service providers we use may have access to your personal data. These third-party vendors collect, store, use, process and transfer information about your activity on our service in accordance with their Privacy Policies.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a physical person.

What data do we store?

To manage your order and respond to customer service enquiries, we store contact and delivery information, such as your first name, last name, personal identification number or organization number (where required for identification, invoicing, or legal compliance), address, telephone number, email address, IP address; payment information such as the type of payment method; order information containing contact information, purchase history, limited payment information, and more.

Retention periods vary depending on the purpose of processing; for example, accounting data is stored in accordance with statutory retention requirements, while customer correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to handle the matter.

Legal basis

We process certain personal data based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the security, functionality, and integrity of our website and services. This includes measures to prevent spam, misuse, and automated access, such as the use of technical security solutions and abuse-prevention tools.

In connection with a purchase, personal data is processed to fulfil the agreement with you and to comply with applicable legal obligations, such as bookkeeping and accounting requirements under the Accounting Act. When you contact us via email or through our forms, we process personal data in order to respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

Personal data used for marketing, analytics, promotions, and similar communications is processed based on your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

With whom and for what purpose do we share data?

We do not sell your personal data. Personal data is only disclosed to other companies or organizations where required by law or where necessary to fulfil our contractual or statutory obligations towards you, such as payment processing, delivery, customer support, or legal compliance. We do not disclose more personal data than is necessary.

We may need to disclose your data to authorities or other organizations if required by law or to exercise, establish, or defend our legal claims.

We never disclose your personal data to other companies or businesses for marketing purposes.

Payment by Invoice

For certain purchases or orders handled directly through our customer service, such as via email or contact forms, payment may be processed by invoice.

In connection with invoicing, we process the personal data necessary to issue and manage the invoice. This may include first and last name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, and, where applicable, an identification number such as a personal identification number for private individuals or a VAT number or company registration number for business customers for identification, credit assessment, or fraud prevention.

This information is stored to complete the purchase and protect the parties against fraud.

Online Shop Payments and Payment Links

Payments made through our online shop or via payment links provided by us, including payments initiated through our customer service (for example via email or contact forms), are processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe.

When a payment is made, the necessary, the necessary payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and processed in accordance with Stripe’s privacy policy. We do not store full payment details on our servers.

Payment information includes first name, last name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, telephone number, and payment method and details. Depending on the payment method, your personal identification number may be processed by the payment provider for identification, credit assessment, or fraud prevention, in accordance with their own legal obligations and privacy policies.

Shipping company

We work with third-party logistics providers, such as PostNord, to handle the shipping and delivery. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it for the purpose of fulfilling your order. PostNord processes your information in accordance with their privacy policy. To deliver your orders and fulfill our agreement, we must share specific information with the shipping company. The information shared with the shipping company includes first name, last name, and address details for delivery. Email address and/or mobile number may also be shared with the shipping company for notification purposes. Personal identification number may also be shared for identification.

Newsletter

We currently do not offer a newsletter service and therefore do not process personal data for this purpose. Should a newsletter be introduced in the future, subscription will be voluntary and based on your consent.

Customer Communications (Transactional emails)

Transactional emails include order confirmations, shipping notifications, and other essential communications related to your purchase, as well as communications from our customer service team in response to your inquiries via email or contact forms.

This may include your first name, last name, email address, order details, and any other information provided in your message, all of which may be shared with our transactional email provider. This information is used solely to facilitate and enhance your shopping experience with us. 

Currently, transactional emails are managed by us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to monitor and analyze the use of our service. With your consent, Google Analytics processes and collects your personal data to track and monitor website traffic and provide insights for improvement. This data is shared with other Google services and used for contextualizing and personalizing ads of its own advertising network. Google processes your information in accordance with their privacy policy. For Google Analytics, Google acts as an independent controller or joint controller depending on the processing activity.

We also use WooCommerce analytics. WooCommerce analytics is a reporting and data analysis tool to help managing our store.

Security

Our forms use reCAPTCHA, a service provided by Google, to help protect against spam and abuse. By using reCAPTCHA, you are subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. These policies apply in addition to our own privacy practices. reCAPTCHA collects information such as your IP address, browsing history, and other data to determine whether you are a human or a bot. This information is processed by Google in accordance with its privacy practices, which may involve transferring data to the United States or other countries. By using any of our forms, you consent to the processing of data as described above for the purpose of verifying that you are not a robot. Your rights

Right to information

You have the right to receive information about the processing of your personal data. Information about personal data processing shall be provided by you, as the data controller, both when the data is collected and when you otherwise request it.

You have the right to receive an excerpt of all information we have about you. The excerpt is provided electronically in a readable format.

Right to rectification

You have the right to request that we update incorrect information or supplement information that is incomplete.

Right to erasure
